How to use mango protective bag correctly?

As a tropical fruit, mango is easily affected by various environmental factors during its growth, such as pests and diseases, strong winds, rain, etc. Therefore, using mango protective bags is an important means to ensure the healthy growth of mangoes and improve fruit quality.

1. Choose the appropriate bagging time
The best time for mango bagging is usually after the second physiological fruit drop, when the fruit is as big as an egg. If bagged too early, the fruit stems will be tender and susceptible to damage, which affects fruit growth; if bagged too late, the fruit will be too large, which increases the difficulty of bagging and will easily cause the fruit to fall, and at the same time, the expected effect will not be achieved.

2. Preparation work before bagging
Pruning and fruits and vegetables: Before bagging, the fruit trees need to be pruned to remove stray leaves and messy branches to ensure there is sufficient light and bagging space inside the tree. At the same time, diseased fruits, deformed fruits, dense fruits, as well as stunted fruits and small fruits should be removed, and young fruits with no damage, large fruit shape and correct fruit shape should be retained.
Apply fruit-stabilizing and fruit-strengthening fertilizer: After the fruit skin turns slightly purple, it is necessary to apply fruit-strengthening fertilizer to the mango tree to supplement the nutrients consumed by flowering and fruit enlargement. Fruit-strengthening fertilizers are generally potassium fertilizers, followed by nitrogen fertilizers, and phosphorus fertilizers. It is recommended to use organic fertilizer or water-soluble fertilizer for drip irrigation.

3. Choose a high-quality mango protective bag
The mango protective bag should have good air permeability, waterproofness and insect resistance. High-quality protective bags can ensure that fruits grow under suitable humidity and temperature, increase the sugar content preserved in the fruits, improve the color of the fruits, regulate the maturity period of the fruits, and at the same time prevent diseases, insect pests and fruits caused by sunlight, pesticide pollution, rain, strong winds, etc. fall.

4. Bagging method
Choose special bagging: Choose a special mango protective bag on the market to ensure that the quality and size of the bag meet the requirements.
Choose sunny weather: Carry out bagging operations on sunny days to avoid contamination of the fruits by rain or dew.
Bagging operation: First open the paper bag enough, hold the fruit handle with one hand, hold the paper bag with the other hand, and put the fruit into the paper bag. After inserting it, fold the mouth of the paper bag toward the middle, and then tie it to the fruit handle to ensure that the fruit does not touch the inside of the paper bag and be injured.

5. Management after bagging
Regular pest control: After bagging, fruit trees should be regularly dewormed to ensure that the fruits are protected from pests and diseases. However, it should be noted that hormone-containing enlarging agents and drugs with serious pollutants cannot be used to avoid causing damage to the fruit.
Observe the growth of fruits: Check the growth of fruits regularly and deal with any abnormalities in time. At the same time, the bag picking time is determined based on the color requirements and variety characteristics of the fruit. When picking bags, if the temperature is high and the light is strong, the bag should be torn lengthwise from the bottom for ventilation to avoid sunburn on the sunny side of the fruit.
Leaf picking and fruit turning: After picking the fruits, perform appropriate leaf picking and fruit turning operations to promote balanced fruit color change. The amount of leaf picking should not be too large, just maintain a certain light transmittance. When turning fruit, place the dark side of the fruit against the sun appropriately to make the fruit evenly colored. The time for picking leaves and turning fruits is generally done in the evening on a sunny or cloudy day to avoid excessive sunlight in the morning on sunny days from burning the fruits.
